Training Manuals

This course is written to a level 2 standard in line with VRQ requirements. It consists of four units made up as follows:-

1. Evaluation of Work Based Practices

2. Establishing an Effective Personnel System – The Master File

3. The Personnel Files and Record Keeping

4. A Central Server Personnel System

Unit 1 covers the duties of an HR Administrator, basic employment law and other associated legislation. This is designed to give the reader an insight into the job parameters, the legal constraints and good practice guidelines.

Unit 2 explores the options open to a business wishing to establish good personnel practices and procedures. It also shows the various ways to set up and run a personnel system from the paperwork system with manual files, through to the central server system on the Internet.

Unit 3 covers the contents one would expect to see in an employee’s personnel file, how to upgrade existing files, setting up new files and the importance of a diary reminder system.

Unit 4 is a detailed examination of the different way a central server system through the Internet works and the benefits of this method to the HR Administrator and UK businesses.
